Highland Festival - All Ford Car & Truck Show

17th July 2016

While visiting St Paul's for the Street Machine Nationals, we heard a rumor that there was also an All Ford Car & Truck Show being held nearby at the Highland Street Festival. Knowing how Ford crazy Americans are, we got excited.

The sun was shining and the happy vibe of the festival was contagious. The show was held to commemorate the 87 Year History of the Ford Motor Company Twin Cities Assembly Plant.

We were greeted with a lovely selection of cars, all  of which were in brilliant condition. What a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thank you to http://www.earlyfordv8.org/ for a great day out.

Day 2 of the St Paul Street Machine Nationals 2016.

We were so impressed with day one of the show we couldn't sleep with excitement. We were at the gates at the crack of dawn (baby and all) in hope that we would have enough time to see all the cars we missed on day one. So what did day two hold?

Our first favourite of the day was The Slammed Metro Milk Truck! This vehicle was so unique and oozed coolness. Hopefully the photo captured does this insanely awesome truck justice.

We saw a heap of outstanding Hot Rods, the pair below blew us away. Individually spectacular!

There was a chevy truck that was slammed with a post apocalyptic ratty style like we had never seen before. The attention to detail was insane. We asked the owner what he thought was the best feature on the truck, the photo below should give you a clue.

Who doesn't love a Chevy Impala? Who wouldn't love to own the two tone Impala below. So outstanding in every detail. What a beauty!

St Paul Street Machine Nationals 2016

Day 1 of the St Paul Street Machine Nationals 2016.

The Sun was beating down and the smell of car polish and smoking tyres filled the air. We tried in vain to look at all the cars on display. It was overwhelming the amount of spectacular vehicles and was well worth the long haul from Australia.

We now realise why the St Paul Street Machine Nationals 2016 is a three day event. Looking forward to Day 2, we will do our best to photograph as many of the cars and trucks as possible.

Today we are travelling from Shawano, Wisconsin to St Paul, Minnesota for the Street Machine Nationals (http://www.streetmachinenationals.net/StreetMachineNationalsStPaul).

Super excited for the 3 day festival which features 7,000 muscle cars and 50,000 people.

Look forward to sharing some of the photos later!
